The sanctuary is home to Mona monkeys and protects a forest that has long held sacred significance within the community.
What makes places like this special is that conservation is not separated from the people who live there. The community itself plays a role in protecting the forest, preserving its significance, and creating an opportunity for visitors to experience it responsibly.
