University of Oxford Mathematician Dr Tom Crawford interviews Professor Gerd Faltings of the Max Planck Institute about his work that led to him being awarded the Fields Medal in 1986.
Gerd shares the story of how he learned he was to receive the prize, why he decided to move back to Germany from the US, and his advice for any students interested in the field of Arithmetic Geometry.
