Ri Jong-o only wrote the original melody. A more appropriate name for this piece would perhaps be "Impromptu over We cannot live apart from His bosom" written by an unknown composer/arranger. Anyway a good example of contemporary classical DPRK music.
At the performance this piece was placed right after the simple pop song Let's study (배우자) as if they wanted to tell the audience "Yes, we can handle whatever musical style they throw upon us".
