IMPD is investigating a deadly crash that happened early Saturday morning on the city's east side.

Police responded to a report of a crash shortly before 4 a.m. Sept. 14 in the 6100 block of East 34th Street, near North Arlington and Massachusetts avenues.

Officers arrived and saw a car and moped both heavily damaged. Then, officers saw a man unresponsive in the grass on the south side of East 34th Street. Medics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
