One of our members shared a family connection to legendary moonshiner Percy Flowers, along with memories of visiting the old Percy Flowers store decades ago.
We also check out a brand new shine shack build from one of our members who is putting together a dedicated distilling space.
And finally, one of the most clever inventions we've seen in a while… a homemade Full Jar Alarm designed to notify the distiller before a collection jar overflows. This simple electromechanical design uses a balance beam, counterweight jar, micro switch, and buzzer to alert the operator when the jar is nearly full.
This is exactly the kind of ingenuity that has always been part of moonshine culture.
