Hello Bronies of the Internet!

I can't believe it, but it has been 2 years since the release of Moonrise. It has been so great seeing the reactions and comments everyone had to it and how much of a following it gained. It's been translated into at least 12 languages with videos put up so many others could enjoy it... There's even a fully animated version of "Harmony" on the way!

A lot of people asked about the lyrics in the original video, so to commemorate the anniversary, I thought I would put together a lyric video too... of the original English lyrics I wrote way back in Fall of 2013.

And stay tuned for "Fall of an Empire" coming out in just a few months! It is literally going to be twice as good as Moonrise in every way.

If you did watch that video, you’ll see that it’s a rewrite of “September” by The Living Tombstone. I was originally going to follow that song with this song. But I got caught up in a bunch of end of college stuff, then last October I got caught up in a bunch of work stuff… and NOW I’m in the middle of moving. So I guess October is just a busy month for me. Regardless I am glad to finally get this out. These songs were part of a bit of writing practice for me, which I think helped me with other lyric stuff. He continues his researching, being driven by his evil half to seek out more forbidden objects, all the while hiding the second personality from the rest of the world. Eventually his evil side takes over more of his waking life and he becomes the second personality. He doesn’t realize this until it’s too late, when the evil half casts a spell with a cursed orb called the “Winter’s Pearl”… It creates essentially ice zombies that suck all the life and warmth wherever they go, and whomever they prey on. That energy is fed into the life force of the user, making them functionally immortal. No one knows what would happen if you destroy the orb… Someday I might write a whole short story off of this, but for now you’ll have to enjoy these two little songs. But I locked it away, the Winter’s Pearl was completely out of my reach… But not out of my reach. You can’t stumble onto power like that and just walk away. That’s how I showed up… I never wanted any of this. Simple discovery is what I miss… But you didn’t know what magic you could find. But I don’t want to drain away their souls, So many innocent, so many foals… Well the spells been cast and you’re locked here in your mind. I bear all of the blame, I knew what decision to make. It’s time that I faced the flame, And hope that they will awake. No more hiding the lie. I’ll be hated to the end of time. At least I won’t deny, Be complicit in your crime. Now it’s time to die! No, what are you doing?!!? HOW DID YOU FIND IT? This is my mind, you’re the intruder here. Intruder? I gave us both eternal life, we just have to ride out the centuries while the creatures spread the curse. There’s no point in digging up artifacts from the past if they don’t bring good to those in the future. That includes the Winter’s Pearl… and that includes you. You FOOL, if you destroy it… It’ll destroy you in the process. Maybe it will, and maybe I deserve it… NOOOO! I’m alive? They’re all alive… the curse has been broken… At least now… I can face their judgement… and truly pay for the things that I’ve done. So many years concealing… hiding the darkness that had manifested within me… But at least it’s over… At least I made my amends. No matter what is sentenced as my fate… I’ll be free of that accursed weight. And at least I know that I tried to make things right… I look around and I want to cry Deep beneath this October sky As I relish in, the peaceful morning light…$
