A quick review of part of my process for some old jazz standards. 3 versions here. A quick review of the original midi stub. Not sure where it came from but I suspect it was a fellow named Wesley Dick. He did hundreds of old jazz standards & made a lot of the original BIAB midi files.

1. So here we have a sampling of the original Midi version
2. A sampling of my version with MIDI traded out for actual instruments & a great sax solo by ???? I think the great Canadian sax player, Jack Stafford.
Once you have the wav files in your DAW you can delete the original tracks & add your own. Keep some, lose others. In this case we dumped the MIDI melody as Mark's vocal took its place & was the melody. We dumped the background piano & added rhythm guitar. You can record your own rhythm or solo parts or anything for that matter. For the intro & the solo I used Rob Ickes (Rhymes with Bikes) on resonator. Neil Swainson on bass & Terry Clarke on drums I believe.
I am closing down my Lawrs channel bit by bit & moving everything here.
