Horrible night for testing but the weather is going to get worse so we'll take what we can get. There was no sense (or time) to use any teleconverters in these conditions so all we have is the 600mm plus the 5x focusing zoom for 3,000mm, and then the awful 18,000mm 30x zoom. The moon didn't come out too bad but Jupiter was horrible.
At 4:57 there’s also a short snippet of the moon from Monday evening using the Canon RF 600mm F/11 lens. The moon came out nicely but for some unknown reason the lens wouldn’t manually focus on either Saturn or Jupiter - they came out as a tiny blob similar to a star. It didn’t make any sense so I have no idea why. The lens was already sent back.
The used (like new) Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens was bought from mpb.com - where I had previously sold some gear to while other equipment was sold to keh.com.
