Two Moog semi-modular instruments, Matriarch and DFAM, play together and with a Make Noise Morphagene processed by the Moogerfooger MuRF.

In this patch, DFAM serves as a master clock, passing through Matriarch’s multiple and syncing to Matriarch’s sequencer. A drumming sample is looped on the Morphagene, tuned by ear to be roughly in time with the DFAM and reset by the DFAM every bar. The Morphagene is filtered by a Moogerfooger MuRF whose pattern rate is tuned by ear to match the DFAM. DFAM generates a simple kick and snare drum pattern, while Matriarch creates a central bass line. Matriarch’s four oscillators are gradually faded in for denser, thicker tones, and stereo filter motion is gently applied.
