PREAMP LIVE V2.0 software and firmware updates are here and Hadrian would like to take some time to guide you through the process of updating your Preamp Live! Watch the video or read the instructions below to successfully complete the updates.
Not only do we have new models for you, but we've also added changeable BOOST models and a brand-new BACKUP function!
The complete list of updates includes:
1. So many models! 52 to be exact. This includes 47 electric guitar amps, 3 acoustic guitar emulators, and 2 bass amp models!
2. Changeable boost. The pre-boost and post-boost models can now be changed with 13 pre-boost models and 3 post-boost models to choose from.
3. Six more power amp models!
4. Backup function. The new Backup feature allows you to pack all of your presets, normally 12, together into one single file. The impulse response (IR) files are also included in the backup file. This means that when backing up, you do not need to save preset files and impulse response files separately.
Before running the update, you need to have the PREAMP LIVE software installed on your Mac or Windows computer. Then, download the PREAMPLIVEV2.0 update. All updates can be found at our downloads page:

To begin the update process on your PREAMP LIVE:
1. Unplug the power supply on your PREAMP LIVE.
2. Press the 1+2 footswitches simultaneously.
3. Power on the PREAMP LIVE. You will see the LED stay GREEN as it boots to update mode.
4. Plug in the USB CABLE and connect the PREAMP LIVE to your computer.
5. Open the PREAMP LIVE software. Select UPDATE when prompted. The update should only take a few minutes.
6. After the update is finished, PREAMP LIVE will reboot automatically. After rebooting, you can now disconnect the PREAMP LIVE from your computer and enjoy the brand new features!
