Played on PCSX2, and I used a lot of save states.
Also do mind the slow downs because my CPU can barely handle it.
Gone back to 1920x1080 now with the help of external software to keep it at that resolution.
And were finally here, this is my first time playing Dark Cloud and I had a blast with my time. In this final part, I didnt expect that were gonna go for another final dungeon, and a very long one too. And I cant believe at the final dungeon, the old man shows up as a shop and sells all the items that Ive always wanted to grind on the fishes lol. Ended up spending all my 65K gold (that I didnt know I got from where) and spend a lot on the gems.
Before the final boss, we got to take the dungeon path where each floor is restricted to one character. Now, through out this playthrough, I have only focused on Toan & Xiao to level up, while the other 4 get leftover. Luckily I can bypass most of the dungeon just by getting the key items and make a run for it xD. So thats what I did for all the characters other than Toan & Xiao.
Come final boss, I was so ready to give up because I have not prepared for the fight at all and made the mistake of stocking up on repair powder rather than the healing (the chicken and waters) and other powders. But in the end we clutch it so hard with the most OP character of the game, Xiao + Stamina Drink = OP. Gotta say, the final boss was surprisingly really challenging in both fight and the environment. Boss combat was challenging with the minions and the boss always shooting lasers that mostly one shot my characters, and also the arena thats just annoying because of the camera too. In the end, I overcome it and XIAO is definitely my MVP. Range attack that is as hard as a melee and only consume 1 durability.
I can finally scratch this off my backlog and definitely going to jump to Dark Cloud 2 ASAP, because Ive been itching to play it.
