Monthly Reel is a new mini series I'm going to start doing during my free time. It's as simple as uploading a FILMED video once a month that tells some sort of story through the meaning behind the shots chosen or music used. Regardless of it being a narrative video or not. It has no time requirement and no limitations whatsoever. This is something I've decided to do solely for the purpose of becoming more weathered to the film world since I've been stuck in animation nearly 10 years. Film has always been something I've dreamed of going into, yet something I never really had the time nor resources for. As you can see from this video, I am EXTREMELY rough in my cinematography and editing in film. Where I may excel in animation, I lack in filmmaking. I want to change that.

Starting this month, I have to upload at least 1 film before the last day of the month. I can upload as many as I want in between but it has to be a minimum of 1. This is solely to improve my skills and passion for the future.

I realize that this video may be extremely low quality and terrible for the camera I was using, but in time I believe I can improve. After all, effort leads to success should you dedicate yourself to it.

"while it lasts"'s meaning is about appreciating the small little things while they're still around. the world develops, people move, work takes up our time. One day you're going to see your last sunset, one day you're going to drive down the highway for the last time. Enjoy it while it lasts.
