Monte Carlo Analysis of LISA Telescope Build Process  @LISAcommunity

NASA GSFC is working with a development partner to build a pair of Engineering Development Unit (EDU) telescopes that will be used to demonstrate the ability to construct hardware that meets the LISA mission specifications. As part of this process, NASA GSFC has developed in optical modeling software a Monte Carlo simulation that approximates the build process for the telescopes. The simulation randomly varies different fabrication parameters within the prescribed tolerances and moves elements of the telescope in ways consistent with the actual build process being followed in order to optimize system performance. We present here the results of this Monte Carlo analysis.
