I have used the Mont Marte Water-soluble oil pastels and a couple of tutorials and really enjoyed them:
Monet Waterlilies tutorial: youtu.be/_rHrNEVO_mk
Livestream (stamping, stenciling, drawing) youtube.com/live/t8g8bQc5OyI

This 48 set sold out after posting the waterlily tutorial: amzn.to/48EGqU8

Today, we will test these against the most similar products I have to them:
Mungyo/Prima water-soluble oil pastels: amzn.to/4nf4Ve7 or amzn.to/4nh00JA
Crayola Portfolio WS Oil Pastels tidd.ly/4nhS9LY or amzn.to/4ncd9DC
iCrayon watercolor crayons: amzn.to/3IQFPUU
Neocolor 2 crayons: tidd.ly/4hjusl2 or amzn.to/4onTotL

I really enjoy this type of media, obviously, or I wouldn't have so many options! I would have rated the Mone Marte set higher if I hadn't directly compared them. They are still fun to use and the cheapest option, but I also feel you need all of those colors since they don't dissolve and mix as easily as some of the other options.

Pros:
Price
Color selection
Opacity

Cons:
Hard to find now
They don't dissolve or mix as well as other colors
Pigmentation is lower than that of other brands

Bottom line: These are fun and work well if used thickly with minimum water. The price is great, but they are currently out of stock in the US, possibly because this is an Australian company and many countries are not importing into the USA right now. Luckily, the other brands I mentioned are available here and in many cases a higher quality.
