This is another 9 Star hunt against a Tempered Arkveld.
Again - my character is modeled after Susannah Dean from "The Dark Tower" series. I've been remaking her in various games for years, including MH World and The Division 2. She looks most accurate to me in Wilds though.
This fight was a mess because the Cliffs are so confined. I do much better against Arkveld in the Plains map, but that's no excuse. I was trying to be a cool guy and parry through attacks at the beginning and then got steadily more defensive as the fight went on. Against a lot of monsters, getting those i-frames from a parry while also dealing damage is a way to keep up your offense.
The Lance is the only weapon that really vibes with me in this game and its direct predecessor. I tried to use multiple weapons in 2018 (and before) but didn't settle on the Lance until 2024 when I downloaded World for Steam. The Fieberschild comes from the Gore Magala monster, deals Dragon element damage, and has a 20% Affinity rating. It also looks like something that would come with a kid's action figure, but I love using it.
My armor set was surprisingly enough the Doshaguma set because it has high Dragon defense. That said - everybody goes for style, so I always use the Uth Duna armor with the Bulaqchi Specs as my layered armor - it makes Susannah look cool, almost like she's going to a beach.
I've said before and it's obvious here - I am no speedrunner - I'm in it for the long haul with my beloved Lance. I know that people can kill Arch Tempered monsters in like five minutes with S&S - ho hum - that's not my play style.
