Colemine Records is proud to present a special 10 year anniversary pressing of 'Sound of Sinning,' Monophonic's breakthrough studio LP. Released in April of 2015, Monophonic's proudly carry the torch of the rich musical history and culture of San Francisco through the generations into today’s musical landscape. Holding on to tradition, but by no means purists of any kind, they play their own brand of music known as “Psychedelic Soul.”
The groups prior album 'In Your Brain,' saw the band pulling influences from such acts as early Funkadelic, Sly and The Family Stone and the The Temptation's Norman Whitfield produced records. 'Sound of Sinning' marked the beginning of the band's growth in all areas. Touching on Northern soul, doo-wop, rock and roll, Psych pop, and cinematic music, Monophonics show off their diversity while remaining true to their roots. Overall it's heartfelt music and old school vibes, without losing sight of the present. This is is music steeped in that timeless feeling when people could write and produce songs that you could listen to over and over again. 'Sound of Sinning' was produced by Kelly Finnigan & Ian McDonald and recorded on an old Tascam eight-track 1/4” tape machine at Transistor Sound Studios in San Rafael, CA.
Since 'Sound of Sinning,' the group has gone on to release the critically acclaimed 'It's Only Us' (2020) and concept-record 'Sage Motel' (2023), which sold over 10k physical units. The band continues to tour, having recently completed a string of shows with the legendary Lee Fields and having an international tour ahead of them for 2025.

Andrew Gabbard, hot off the trail of his highly revered new LP Ramble & Rave On!, continues on with a selection of bonus tracks.
One of these such tracks is Dont Let It Hide. Originally recorded by The Impressions in 1964, its one of Andrews favorite songs and helped him set the tone for Ramble & Rave On! when first recording the album. Whenever I hear [Dont Let It Hide] - I’m singing it for days, Andrew notes, This song in particular made me realize that I could sing in that high register, so I try to utilize that quite often. Along with stretching his vocal-range muscles, the tune showcases his bold, power-pop sensibilities in the instrumental arrangement. Per usual, Andrew played and recorded every single instrument. He is very excited to finally share these bonus tunes from Ramble & Rave On! Hope You Like it.

Kelly Finnigan has teamed up with soul music legend Renaldo Domino for his next 45, out May 23rd via Colemine Records.
The A-Side is another recording mined from the “A Lover Was Born” sessions. ‘Keep Me In Mind was first recorded by the Buffalo, NY duo Samson & Delilah and released on ABC records in 1967. Finnigan’s rendition, much like the original, is a catchy mid-tempo track that makes your neck muscles do the wop. The track was recorded entirely to tape with sessions taking place in the Bay Area, Ohio & Chicago, resulting in this dynamic serving of soul music. Featuring a cavalcade of top musicians and names you trust, the rhythm section and horns are locked tight and provide the perfect bedrock for Kelly and Renaldo’s masterful singing. The two voices blend harmoniously, rekindling the classic sound of dual male soul serenading à la Sam & Dave, Eddie & Ernie and Bob & Gene. This song alone makes for a record that is sure to be every DJ and soul lovers friend!
