I have often observed the curious way profanity is dubbed over for airplanes and certain TV channels.
Voiceover actors who do impressions are hired to record substitutes for the kind of salty language in dramas.
Sometimes, no matter how well the voice is copied, the less-offensive epithet strikes an odd note.
I wondered what it would look like if characters in a dramatic scene became aware of what was happening to their dialogue in post.
