I've been slowly weaning myself from store-bought cleaning products. So, in doing so, I remembered an old recipe I used to use when we lived in Louisiana. I used to make this to clean my entire house. Sometimes, I'd even store old cleaning rags in a mason jar filled with this DIY cleaner to reuse instead of purchasing paper towels. It worked seamlessly and left the house smelling like fresh lemons. No vinegar smells at all!
RECIPE:
5 - fresh lemons (sliced and squeezed
1 - 1/2 gallon glass jar (preferably with a plastic seal)
White vinegar - filling jar to the cusp
1 - tablespoon lemon essential oil (optional)
Store in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks, then strain into a glass spray bottle for use.
