Wet fall leaves are scattered across the rugged gravel as Troy and Ryan work rigorously on a brisk day to build out the interior walkway in the new greenhouse. Like all aspects of bonsai and design at Mirai, just as much consideration and detail go into the process of greenhouse interior design. We create a space in which aesthetics and function meet.
Heading into the Thanksgiving holiday, Ryan sorts through tools in the workshop and shares the internal struggle of back pain that comes with gradual aging as his birthday just passed last weekend. Troy is out and about on the property on his day off to keep us all entertained with his antics and offer an extra helping hand. Then, Ryan and Troy loop our cameraman Josh into filming the meticulous process of placing the stone pavers in the greenhouse using the dingo, some greenhouse math, and their set of experienced hands aided by tools. As the walkway comes to fruition, Ryan reflects on his visceral personal reactions when encountered with symmetry versus asymmetry.
