Grilled Tofu Kabobs
14-16 oz firm tofu
1 cup Kowalski’s BBQ Sauce, divided
4 metal skewers
– garnishes, to taste (optional): freshly chopped cilantro, Kowalski’s Pickled Red Onions and minced chives
Directions
Wrap tofu in paper towels or a clean tea towel; place a heavy object (such as a cast iron skillet) on top for 30-60 min.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat; clean grill grates.
Cut tofu into 1″ cubes; toss cubes in ½ cup of sauce until well coated.
Thread tofu cubes onto skewers; reserve remaining sauce for serving.
Grill tofu on all sides, lid down, until charred and crispy on all sides, rotating every 5 min.
Remove tofu from skewers; toss with additional sauce to taste or serve with remaining sauce for dipping.
Find It!
Find tofu in the Dairy Aisle.
Find Kowalski’s Pickled Red Onions in the Prepared Produce Section.
Tasty Tips:
If the kabobs don’t release easily from the grill grates, they’re not ready to turn.
Don’t skip pressing the tofu in step 1. It helps release excess liquid that will prevent the tofu from developing a crispy exterior.
