It was just an average Wednesday. After dispensing with their chores, 13-year-old Molly Lord and her sister Emily, 10, ventured as normal onto the family’s NSW farm. The pair hopped onto quad bikes, an everyday activity as they sought to get around the Illawara property. Their mum Linda Goldspink-Lord glanced at the youngsters before knuckling down to her daily to-do list.
Tragically, it would be the last time she saw Molly alive.
Just moments later, Linda received the phone call that would change her life forever - Molly had been in an accident.
Ten years on, Linda tells My Big Story how this ordinary Wednesday turned out to be the most haunting day of her life.
And she will forever tell Molly’s story - and how the family “crawled” through their grief - in the hope their tragic experience can help other bereaved parents.
