CutiePie | Molly Malone - Cockles and Mussels | TIN WHISTLE TABS TUTORIAL @CutiepieTinWhistle | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
Learn to play the beautiful old Irish folk song 'Cockles and Mussels' - first published by James Yorkston in 1884 and now the unofficial anthem of Dublin. Known by many other names, including 'Molly Malone' and 'In Dublin's Fair City', the song tells the story of a fishwife who sold her wares in Dublin before sadly dying of a fever. There is a statue of Molly Malone in Suffolk Street, Dublin, near Trinity College and Grafton Street (as seen in the thumbnail).
You'll need a D whistle to play along with today's tutorial :)
