Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion (VSEPR) theory is used to predict the three-dimensional shapes of molecules based on the repulsion between electron pairs around a central atom. Learn how to use Lewis structures to count electron domains and predict molecular geometries while taking into account the effects of lone pairs.
