We took rides in traditional African Mokoro Canoes through the Okavango Delta. There are passages through the reeds created by foraging Hippos that the locals call "Hippo Highways." Hippos are extremely dangerous and often will attack a Mokoro if you go out at the wrong time of day/year. Last year the Mokoro that a honeymoon couple was riding in was attacked, and the woman was killed when she didn't follow the guides instruction to jump into the water to escape the attacked Mokoro.
