The Minecraft Mobvote has been around for quite a long time, and what started off as an interesting add to a largely community based event has grown to be disliked and even hated by some members of the community. I personally think that it has a lot of potential to be something the players love and look forward to but as it stands now, even I don't like what options there are and feel it goes against even Mojangs own guiding principles in the development of Minecraft. Here are plenty of reasons why this years 2023 Mobvote with the Penguin, Crab, and Armadillo, as well as the winners of previous mobvotes like the Sniffer and Glow Squid, doesn't fit into what Mojang strives to build as a part of Minecraft.
