The Stage 2 theme from Touhou 10: Mountain of Faith
After all these years, seeing the new translation finally made me look up the word apotropaic. I think I always assumed it had something to do with misfortune - never knew it meant to protect against evil. The more you know.
I find Stage 2 is always a trickly spot when it comes to music. You have to bridge this gap between the first stage which gets all the attention, and the third stage which tends to be where the plot kicks off and the difficulty spikes. It's always hard to follow up.
However, this theme is really enjoyable. I love the key change at 0:43, and then again at 0:55 where the intensity ramps up again. It's so fun! It carries the exciting tone from Stage 1 perfectly.
Plus, it makes me want to sing the lyrics to Miracle Hinacle ^^;

The Main Menu theme from Touhou 12: Undefined Fantastic Object
Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
We finally come to my most beloved OST in the series, UFO. I will probably spend the next few descriptions gushing about how much I love each track, so be warned.
Already the main menu theme sets the tone for the entire game - space-like and dreamy, floating above the clouds. Probably one of my most favourite menu themes in the series, it makes my heart lift when I hear it.
Oh, Im already too excited for the next track...
