Dyslexia Teaching: Part 2, in partnership with Made By Dyslexia
The world needs dyslexic thinking. That’s why Made By Dyslexia and Microsoft have made it their mission to help every teacher to SPOT, SUPPORT & EMPOWER every learner with dyslexia. Our first training course, Dyslexia Awareness 1 & 2, equipped teachers and parents with the essentials to understand and value dyslexic thinking. (Take it here - education.microsoft.com/en-us/learningPath/939a69c9). Now, our next level course, Dyslexia Teaching, will deepen your understanding of dyslexia.
We’ve worked with one of the world’s leading dyslexic specialist schools, The Schenck School (Atlanta, USA), to develop training to help ALL children with dyslexia, worldwide, to thrive. You’ll hear from teachers at Morningside Elementary School and Thomasville Heights, (both in the US) and Broadclyst Community Primary School (UK), who’ve taken the training and transformed their teaching, too.
Part 2 focuses on:
• reading – deepen your skills to support readers with dyslexia
• spelling – new strategies to transform spelling
• writing – brilliant ways to support creativity in writing
The videos are full of helpful, easy to implement ideas, showing you WHAT to teach, WHY it helps and HOW to do it.
