Tron 2 from LimX Dynamics is a modular, tri-form embodied robot designed for AI and robotics research. Instead of buying multiple platforms, Tron 2 reconfigures into three forms using one shared hardware base.

In dual-arm mode, it functions as a tabletop manipulator with two 7-DoF arms, human-like spherical wrists, about 27.5 inches of reach per arm, and a 22-lb combined payload for pick-and-place and tool-use research.

In bipedal mode, Tron 2 becomes a walking robot capable of balancing, navigating uneven terrain, and climbing stairs with step heights around 8 inches using vision-guided motion planning.

In wheeled-leg mode, it combines wheels and legs for faster mobility, reaching 3–5 m/s on flat ground while maintaining stability in complex environments.

Built for embodied AI, Tron 2 integrates with vision-language-action models and supports ROS1, ROS2, Python APIs, simulators, and low-latency teleoperation including VR. Power comes from a 46–47V swappable lithium battery, delivering several hours of runtime.

LimX Dynamics positions Tron 2 as a more accessible, general-purpose research platform with reported entry pricing around $7,000.
