Another little musical journey featuring my "mostly Mutable Instruments" modular synthesizer setup.
Remembering to Forget : Patch Notes
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
OK, well I screwed up. I got about halfway through de-patching this before realizing I hadn't written the patch notes. I'll have to go from memory (and pattern)...
Spooky voice at beginning and throughout is a frozen sample of an iteration of this patch, with position modulated.
Main voice is Rings, sequenced by Meta-Sequencer and being split all over: into SMR, into Warps in frequency-shifter mode, and into Ripples, all brought back together in a combination of submixes and final mix. Rings STRUCTURE parameter is sequenced by a channel of Peaks in 4-step sequencer mode. Tons o' modulation from Chance, a random LFO channel of Peaks, etc.
Bass is Elements, sequenced by another channel of Peaks in 4-step sequencer mode. The bass sequence and Rings STRUCTURE sequence are both advanced on the same clock division, but the bass note values only progress at half that division. So, there's kind of a shifting of Rings' sound against the bass progression.
Tides contributes a barely-heard high string sound. All its wave shaping parameters are being modulated randomly as is its level control.
Percussion is two channels of Peaks in the secondary Drum mode, plus TipTop ONE. Bass drum is on a fixed clock division. Higher drum sound triggers passed through 2hp 3:1, which is modulated to provide variety. ONE's triggers come from Chance's rhythm output.
I don't specifically remember the effects routing, but definitely all the stuff I had was employed: 2hp Verb and Delay, Cloudses.
