Rita Gurry lost her Manasquan Cape to Sandy's mold and devastation. Now she has an empty lot and a decision: traditional stick-frame construction, which takes months, or a modular home built in a factory in under a week and delivered to the site. She chose modular—and Richard Trethewet is at the Pennsylvania factory to show viewers exactly what that means. For many people, "modular" still conjures images of low-quality prefab. What Richard finds is something very different: a precision manufacturing operation where Rita's home is being built room by room, inside out, with the same materials and to the same code as any site-built home.
