There is more than one way to approach a Cluny element in needle tatting.
In this video, I show a modified method for creating a Cluny that starts and finishes at the same point. A short piece of very thin wire serves as a temporary support while the element is worked, helping guide the thread and maintain the shape until the two ends meet.
This small technique opens up another possibility for designing and placing Cluny elements in tatting. Sometimes a simple auxiliary aid can make an unusual construction much easier to manage.
