With the cost limitations air navigation surveillance provider (ANSP) and air traffic control (ATC) operations are facing today, there’s a critical need for proven, reliable primary surveillance radars (PSRs) that can be easily upgraded with cost-effective modular subsystems.

Collins Aerospace developed the Life Extension & Advancement Program (LEAP) to modernize its ASR-10 and ASR-23 PSRs. LEAP uses a multi-phased approach to extend the operational life of our PSRs by a minimum of 15 years, alleviating obsolescence concerns, decreasing implementation and maintenance costs, and providing a substantial return on investment.
