Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Multiplayer Teaser Trailer
Get ready for a new era of Call of Duty Multiplayer as Infinity Ward unveils a first look at the fast, grounded and highly responsive multiplayer experience coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
Built around the philosophy of fluidity, control and player agency, Modern Warfare 4 aims to make every movement and gunfight feel more precise and deliberate. The new multiplayer experience features refined movement, improved weapon handling and a renewed focus on giving players greater control over how they approach every engagement.
One of the biggest changes is the new Ballistic Authority technology stack, which brings aiming, weapon handling, recoil, operator stance, camera behaviour, audio propagation, field of view and target visibility together into a unified combat system. Infinity Ward has also removed weapon bloom, while rebuilding recoil, convergence and weapon handling to respond more directly to player input. The goal is straightforward: no bloom, no guesswork! Every shot tells the truth.
The teaser also offers a glimpse at Modern Warfare 4’s ambitious multiplayer map design, including Kill Block, a dynamic map constructed from interchangeable sections that can change between matches. Infinity Ward has described it as a “living” map designed so that its layout does not always play the same way, adding a new layer of unpredictability and replayability to traditional 6v6 combat.
At launch, Modern Warfare 4 will feature 12 brand new 6v6 multiplayer maps, alongside larger scale environments combining infantry and vehicle combat in ground war. The maps are designed around a wide variety of combat situations, ranging from tight close-quarters engagements to open battlefield encounters.
With Infinity Ward returning to lead development, Modern Warfare 4 is shaping up to be a major return to grounded, precise Modern Warfare multiplayer combining familiar boots on the ground combat with redesigned movement, more authentic ballistic behaviour and dynamic map design.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. The multiplayer beta begins with early access from August 21–25, followed by an open beta period from August 28–September 1, 2026.
