Modern Art is coming alive all over Spain, but at the center of it all is Madrid. One huge artist you need to know is Óscar San Miguel. Óscar, aka Okuda is a painter and sculptor known for his distinctive style of colorful geometric patterns that portray animals, skulls, religious iconography and human figures.

Okuda is taking inspiration from Spanish artists of the past like Dali and Miro, but is simultaneously redefining mural, graffiti, and abstract sculpture in Spain.

While in Madrid, I was able to visit Ink and Movement, a mix of part studio space, digital design department, and management offices. The team at IAM is trailblazing the path for where Spanish art is headed!
