Every year, billions of birds migrate around the world. To understand this magnificent phenomenon, biologists and physicists have started to work together to develop powerful models. By analysing resources availability, wind maps and the Earth’s magnetic field, they managed to predict the migration trajectories of some species of birds. In this video, Hugo Spitz tries to shed light on these models, mainly based on the work of Revell and Somveille (2017).

Hugo Spitz is a student in the Cell Physics Master at the University of Strasbourg, France.
