Step 1
Go to a sign shop and have a sign made that states
Notice and Direction of Trespass.
Agents, representative or employees of Via Rail, Alto and their contractors
Are prohibited from entry onto or over these premises, without the prior written consent of the owner.
Post the sign at all likely access points to your property
A uniform sign design and colors would have greater impact and visibility
Step 2. Send an email to Via Rail and Alto with th Trespass direction (which is a reiteration of the sign message)
altotrain.ca/en/contact-us
questions@altotrain.ca
customer_relations@viarail.ca.
Step 3. Inform your local municipal police force and/or local OPP detachment of the direction of trespass. This requires you to provide an email addressed to the police force with the message you sent to Via and Alto.
Step 4. Create a local neighborhood watch and rapid response group, who will notify others in the community if/when Via/Alto are in the neighborhoods attempting to access properties for assessments.
Step 5 Create a local telephone/text tree of volunteers who will arrive at properties to block access.
