Lizi Stewart – Managing Director, Highways and Aviation, Arcadis discusses the examples from Dutch transport planning solutions on mobility as a service combined with behavioural change as a critical part in Highways Engineering outcomes. She is speaking at the 2018 Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) annual conference.

Liz talks about car ownership and experiences in the Netherlands on a scheme to incentivise commuters to change behaviour in spitsmijden. Reducing delays with the “Minder Hinder” approach and the MaaS Amsterdam Business district solution. This was about ensured business commuting in the event of a major road disruptions and included gamification in order to alter commuter behaviour.
