This is a condensed version of a 9 part build series, yunno, for those of you that can't sit though 4 hours of tinkering. I got you.
I took an old derelict BT Openreach box that had sat in a field for years and gave it a new lease of life as the mobile workshop on my off-grid land.
Originally this box was mounted to a BT Openreach Ford Transit van and I'm told did all manner of phone and internet line repairs in both urban & rural locations. The interior was still mostly intact and even included the gas stove cowling that workmen would cook and make tea & coffee on etc.
After sourcing a suitable trailer base the work could begin turning these unwanted heaps of scrap into something very useful.... and then I tow it 1500 miles across Europe.

I always struggle for space despite having quite a big home on wheels.
Taking my work tools around with me quickly fills the garage under the bed.
I needed a solution, and I found one by stealing some dead floor space.
As I lifted the bed up I not only gained space under it but I then built a platform extending out through half of the van, creating space underneath that too.
Lance is also happier as his bed area is now taller.

This is a Vlog, not so much a How to. But the job gets done.
Over these few videos, I take my ex-ambulance camper conversion apart to fix all the big body and mechanical problems with it.
All filmed within the same week and then separated into a number of videos covering.
Scuttle panel replacement
Air suspension leak
Handbrake overhaul
Propshaft centre bearing
Chassis reust repair, paint and wax oil
and a few little bits in between.
Not a mechanic, just keeping costs down.

This is the last video in the series, where Me, Ash, Marie and the dogs finally get the park-up weve ben crazing.
Quiet, secluded, coastal and plenty of space for the dogs to roam.
We spend 4 days here in the end, going off exploring then returning.
Right up until I had to depart from the convoy and return to normality.
