Yesterday, my PUBG Mobile account was hacked. It all started on the night of September 1, 2023, at 12:04 AM. Before I slept, some of my friends noticed that something was amiss with my account. Strange messages were being sent, people were getting kicked out of the clan, and my account name was changed to 'Rølexį Terör.' Additionally, my Pakistan flag was changed to Russian, and the clan name was changed to 'Rølex x.' The hacker removed all 60 members from the clan.
People began to suspect something was wrong, and by the time I logged into my account, I had received over 20 messages from friends and cousins, all wondering what had happened. This hacker thought they were clever, even adding some Turkish players as friends in the game, and they even added themselves.
I genuinely have no idea how this person gained access to my account. I hadn't encountered any suspicious logins, clicked on any dubious links, or fallen for any free UC scams on the internet. I just checked my email one moment, and my account was gone. The hacker unlinked all of my accounts from PUBG Mobile, except for my mobile number. However, I wasn't receiving verification codes from PUBG Mobile because the hacker had tried multiple times, resulting in the temporary suspension of SMS verification.
I had no clue about the methods the hacker used, but all that mattered was regaining control of my account. With every passing minute, this hacker could potentially cause more damage. I attempted to contact PUBG support, but, as usual, they claimed it would take 72 hours, and later they extended it to 7 days.
I couldn't afford to wait that long, so I took matters into my own hands. I tried logging in multiple times, but I kept getting logged out repeatedly, almost 15+ times. Eventually, I managed to secure a few seconds and enable two-step verification. I logged back in and attempted to sign out from all devices. However, I continued experiencing logout issues for the next 30 minutes after enabling two-step verification.
Nevertheless, I eventually succeeded in regaining my account. I reached out to the PUBG Mobile support team to reverse the changes made by the hacker, but they informed me that they couldn't undo these alterations. Despite providing all the necessary information, including references to my channel, they instructed me to wait for 7 days. Now, I must patiently await the return of my original username.
This message is for those who attempt to steal someone's data:
For the sake of common decency, please refrain from such actions. It's unfair and unnecessary, considering it's easy to create new accounts. There's no need to invade someone else's privacy.
