Columbia Daily Spectator | Moawia Eldeeb talks challenging path to SEAS @ColumbiaSpecVideo | Uploaded September 2014 | Updated October 2024, 4 minutes ago.
Moawia Eldeeb developed his passion for computers while taking apart the abandoned desktops and hard drives he found in New York City trashcans. Now, Eldeeb is a SEAS senior, excelling in his study of computer science and using what he's learned to create a machine that acts as a virtual personal trainer. Hear Eldeeb tell the story of his family's move out of Egypt, their experience of homelessness in New York, and his eventual acceptance into Columbia as he tours the places in New York that defined his life before college.
