Before anyone comments about the challenges we faced during this shoot, I just wanted to provide a little background and some context so you understand the situation.
Stormy Weather: The day of the shoot happened to be during the peak of a heavy storm. The rain was pouring down non-stop, and the only breaks we got were brief moments when the rain would pause for a few minutes. It was definitely a challenging day for shooting, but we made the best of it!
Unexpected Fog: The location we chose was engulfed in fog, which was not something we anticipated at all. While it did create a unique atmosphere, it wasn’t part of the plan, and it definitely added an extra layer of difficulty to the shoot.
Limited Movement: The downpour really limited our ability to move around and shoot a variety of scenes. We were trying to make the most of what we could, but there were definitely limitations due to the weather conditions.
Cosplayer’s Health First: Above all, the health and safety of the cosplayer was our top priority. We made sure to take breaks and make sure everyone was safe, but we also want to be transparent that both the cosplayer and the videographer were soaked by the end of it. It was all part of the process, and we still pushed through to make something special!
We hope that you can appreciate the effort we put into this shoot despite the weather challenges, and we’re really grateful for your understanding. Sometimes, things don’t go as planned, but we always strive to make the best out of any situation!
