So then ! ! ! The 10 year anniversary PV is finally here ! ! ! It only took an extra month or so of work to get it done thanks to finals and my job schedule w Even so, while it may not be a new cover like you're expecting, I hope you'll at least still appreciate the models, editing, and animated tidbits I've put so many work hours into over the past few months w

Admittedly, I didn't intend for them to take so many work hours over the past few months. If I'm being real, this whole project—delays included—is half the result of a busy class schedule and half the result of changing plans just a few too many times and paying the price as a result hhh

Originally, I'd planned an entirely different, non-MMD project to start, but as I kept trying to find shortcuts and cut down on my workload so I could keep on top of my ever growing pile of course work, I unintentionally ended up making way more work for myself while simultaneously cutting down the time I had left to do it hehhehh ;;

Legitimately, the process was essentially:
+ "oh god what do i do for the VY2 anniversary it's in 5 months"
+ "wait here's a super fun 16bit let's play-themed original from 2010 this'll be perfect"
+ "ah wait fuck i'd have to draw so much for the little face cam though i don't have the steam for that"
+ "WAIT i can use vroid to make a quick face model and just animate that instead ! ! !"
+ "a a a a a a my computer is dead"
+ "okay fuck let's restart this boy from scratch"
+ "oh yeesh this is taking longer than expected and i really don't want to actually animate anything that'll be a pain"
+ "oh big brain moment: let's look for songs that already have motions that we can cover"
+ "wait oh god the anniversary is in one month and the models aren't even done yet i can't do a cover on top of a PV"
+ "time to choose a pre-existing cover and use that instead"
+ "cendrillon is the only one"
+ " guess i'm making VY1 too"

So I may or may not be kicking myself just a tiny bit.

But ! ! ! Even in spite of all the heartache ! ! ! I still managed to put together a couple of sick Packaged!VY models ! ! ! And I feel proud of that ! ! ! Working with Vroid rigs may feel like the MMD equivalent of pulling teeth at times, but I managed to at least get them working enough to put on a show w

And speaking of ! ! ! ! Making them work ! ! ! ! A massive shoutout to Mayday for rigging the physics on both of these bad boys ! ! ! ! ! Physics have always been the bane of my existence when it comes to MMD, so having his help on that was truly a life saver hhh

Admittedly, I may have had to do some pretty ridiculous things behind the scenes to help make sure these two could handle all the teleports and spins this motion has to offer, but , , , , nobody has to know w Especially considering it might be a while before either of these two are released—if at all—given that they are very rushed and very lacking in the normal polish I like to put on these sorts of things w

All being said, though, I'm definitely at least a little proud of the fact that this is pretty much my first legitimate MMD PV, given that my last public MMD upload was somewhere in the ballpark of 2012, and I've always dreamed of using AviUtl to put together something with a bit of a story w I feel like the red diamonds work out to be a nice aesthetic, even if half of them are so buried in artifacts you can hardly pick them out haha

But ! ! ! I had fun ! ! ! Adding extra expressions and animating the little interlude segments ! ! ! Little details like VY2's face softening when they look at VY1 ! ! ! Or VY1's eyes drifting over whenever one of his solos starts ! ! ! And even if the color balance continues to elude me and Youtube continues to insist on crunching the hell out of this, I hope you'll enjoy them too w

Anyway ! ! ! I feel like ! ! ! This is getting a little long ! ! ! And also it is 8AM and I have not slept yet ! ! ! ! After waking up at 5PM ! ! ! My sleep schedule is dissolving before my very eyes ! ! ! !
