After you play a song to activate a scene (maybe others, I'm not sure), you can pause right before the scene starts. Doing so delays the scene for another frame, so you can unpause, advance another frame, and interrupt the scene by pausing again. You seem to be able to delay the scene indefinitely, if you so wish. I'm not sure what would come out of it though, besides wasted time.
