Can actually do it literally anywhere now! Only way to untransform is by going into water or dieing with deku mask in inventory, or normal boss room. I'll explain how each method works.
Method 1: While wearing the mask leftmost of your mask inventory, equip swap the FD mask over that mask, then make sure that the FD mask icon is on the c-button of the mask you were just wearing, and unpause. Only requires one equip swap and is the easiest to do, however it only works with your leftmost mask.
Method 2: Equip swap any mask of your choice with the deku mask or leftmost mask slot. Unpause and equip the mask. Now equip swap the FD mask, and make sure the FD mask icon is on the c-button of the mask you were wearing. Unpause. I also equip FD mask normally to show off that I cloned the FD mask... TWICE!
Equip swap is a frame-perfect glitch in which you put your cursor on an item, go away from the current side of the pause screen, come back around and then hold up left (from right side) or up right (from left side) and press a c-button on the same frame to equip the last cursor'd item with the slot of the highest item from that side. You can also do it with a lower item holding the lower direction but you cannot have any item in the 2 slots above it. Hope this makes sense!
