This is a tool-assisted speedrun (TAS). This time will not count on any real rankings. Created on Dolphin 5.0 with a real Wiichuk, slowdown, savestates, frame advance, and RAM watch.

For over 2 years, I've had an idea for delaying the lap count on this track, except I couldn't work out a way to get to the seam next to the finish line without triggering the start of the lap beforehand. The side of the track is bounded by tall invisible walls, so the only way to elude them is with HWG from the banner.

I recently decided to ask Charlie for some assistance, and he managed to get a huge ejection from the last ramp which just travelled far enough to reach the banner. He subsequently pulled off the HWG which somehow perfectly positioned him to land on the seam. So, huge props to him for donating his talent to make this glitch work.

The rest of the method was relatively straightforward since I knew it was possible. In the process though, I was reminded about how tedious that finish line pole wallclip is to get.

The flap isn't fully optimised. I have exams soon, so I just wanted to do something quick to showcase the strat. I think I lost around 5 frames by going wide after the banner bypass landing, and another 2 frames at the first corner wrap-around after the zipper glitch landing. Considering this, and that the previous flap BKT was 15.606, we can deduce that the new strat saves around 1.4 seconds!
