technically speaking the BKS limit for 3-0-0 is 43.168 / 46.115 / 46.115 = 2:15.298
so yes, this can be seen as a WR improvement fail lol, this is why I want a strong turn skip run. As it sits right now, MT no-glitch is incredibly weak and any strategy can still WR, including non-turn skip.

Third times the charm for these 3/3 runs :) We almost pulled an agent 112 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYmqJl4MoNI but either way, massive run.
I chose this Mii because I thought it would be incredible if I hit a 2:14.000 with it or even a 2:13.000, but Im more than happy with this result.

We may have not skipped 2:13 entirely, but we are now only 0.127 away from 2:12. We are within 1 second of Troys first glitch time of 2:12.282. Its happening.
Now that I finally hit the 2:13, and it was a MASSIVE cut into 2:13, Im going straight after the 2:12. Its too close and Im too hot to stop this momentum, so Im moving the goal posts (after stretching). In the future, I hope to take back the no-turn-skip BKT from Victor (go watch it here btw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZVSZf6T78s) but my sights are largely on 2:12 for now. Ill also go for the glitch category again at some point after 2:12. I stream at least weekly, sometimes more, mostly Saturday afternoons starting around 3-4PM CST. Home of everything Treeway.

Im incredibly impressed and happy with my driving throughout this entire run. The weak points are as follows: Lap 1 - bad line turn skip recovery with wheelie turns and drop wheelie, bad line on final ramp lost about 0.2 to these combined; Lap 2 - clean, could have taken corner before wiggler entrance tighter, turn skip could have been quicker (lots of airtime on detach), and I did not get the Totom-optimal triple net; Lap 3 - Jak strat could have been quicker, corner before wiggler section could have been tighter... net entry got QMd due to bad inputs (released my drift too early causing me to get airtime so the game ate 2 wheelie inputs start of wheelie was delayed, causing a poor line into net entry) so I was only able to salvage a double net with large airtime. This poor net entry prevented the triple net and thus 2:12, confirmed by Dolphin.

Justin is a god, kudos for him for not only the first 2/3 glitch run here, but the first King Boo WR in Mario Kart Wii. As it stands, this time is the current BKT for the 1/3 two-shroom category. I have confidence nobody will ever try to beat this again, including myself. Onto the next thing: clipping trees.
My Mii I used for this run is the first one I ever made for MKW, and I think was an inspiration to my nephew Tim, who made the previously used Mii, τιm$.
This was one of my fastest paced runs entering the glitch, as well as probably the fastest part 2 of the glitch (the 2-shroom wall hit). A good comparison (Ill upload later) is between this, my old 1:58.144, and 1:58.935 and 1:59.131 both without low cannons. These are all on chadsoft, besides my old run I think.
The only complaint is the high part 3, where my 1:58.1 run almost touches my current run. Also, of course, I cant land the last trick. Overall, Im happy with this run. Ill keep pushing for more, my end goal is 1:57.5xx or lower before ever attempting 1-shroom glitch. Im onto rMC now for this summer, hoping for WR.

This run had an INCREDIBLE pace. Had I been a little faster lap 2 (not messed up the shortcut, maybe a better u-turn) I would have nailed the triple net a full second ahead of Totoms 2:16.884. For lap 3... it was going so good. SO good. Then I had a terrible u-turn (it was wide) and drop wheelie (but we got air) and then to make matters sting just a bit more, only double net. Had I hit the chain and triple net, we wouldve seen a 45.0 (with good u-turn it wouldve been 44.9) and finished with a mid 2:15!! Huge shame about the bad landing on the final trick lap 3. It wouldnt be an HD Demon certified run without it LMAO. Im tempted to do a What could have been style video where I go in and optimize the u-turn forward to see what I could have gotten on Dolphin. This run is truly amazing and shows just how far no-turn skip still has to go!! 2:15 is not the end, my end-goal for NTS is going to be a 2:15.4 but I can rest easy knowing I hit the first 2:15 :)
Ghosts compared include: 2:16.058 (Demon), 2:16.073 (Kisaragi), and 2:16.220 (the super fast ghost ahead of us on lap 3, one of my fastest paces since returning in 2020).

I keep re-watching this flap to find any big errors, and I really cant besides the two main, obvious flaws: only double net (but I did get a double hop), and only one trick on the branches. I think fixing those two errors combined give another 200-300ms of timesave easily.
For the positives: I think the gap jump line was solid, tight line into cannon, wheelie mostly into cannon, perfect low cannon and lineup, not too much air on part 3 AND maintained wheelie as if its the rDH lucky cut (fast), and good mini-turbo into net.
Ive been labbing this flap all weekend long between Dolphin and RTA, its about time I get a second chance of the god tier low cannon since my very first RTA attempt. Theres different low cannons: based on the speed as you exit the cannon, you will be dropped shorter or further. Above 71kmh, and youve landed too far for a good line. Around 70kmh and below, you get the best line for part 3 of the glitch: the bump. Fun fact: the savestate I used in Dolphin gets a low cannon with the same speed, almost feels unfair. Almost. I really cant understate how useful Dolphin is for testing new tech or strats, especially like this one, where the RTA restart timing is over 1 minute between attempts. To reduce that to... well, instantly, accelerates progress to levels a 2008 player could only dream of.
Words cannot describe how happy I am to have achieved this run. To have all 4/4 Maple Treeway WRs is a great feeling, just like it was back then. I had just returned to glitch 3lap attempts on July 3rd in the morning, and later that day I came across the video demonstrating this tech. To have this quick of a turnaround from having never even seen this strat to strong WR makes me wonder if Im still playing at my best, or if I possibly have even greater things ahead. Time will tell.

Ive seen some chatter about a new BKS lap 3 thats actually done on lap 2, so, I wanted to set a WR with a new BKS lap 3 thats actually done on lap 3. Instead, we get this. I dont know whats better.
I started playing glitch attempts right around when the new flap strategy was found (btw check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKOv1mcJQ5Q), and things have only been getting smoother. I honestly think I might be able to push for 1:29 with just 1/3 fast entries as long as I figure out the branches. Im not sure the exact time loss, maybe in excess of a full second. Maybe 1.462 seconds exactly, Im not sure.
Ive been getting faster at the Benny, been getting low cannons much more consistently, and even getting the fast entries more often. To make matters even better: my clip consistency has returned to its peak. So, strike while the iron is hot. Lets do this.
The good: fast Bennys, 2 low cannons, incredible triple nets both laps 1 and 2, incredible fast entry into lap 3, fast clip lineup lap 3, great instant stop
The bad: hitting the hut on entry into lap 2, and well. Does the other thing even need stated? Just watch the video.
I love this ghost comparison. It even more effectively demonstrates the time losses and saves on this category so well, from the Benny to the entry to the clip to the low cannon to the bump to the net... its just peak comparison.

Ill be honest, I barely remembered this run until I re-watched it a few times. Lap 1 looks sloppy, but I got an amazing turn skip, of the top tier. I only needed to hop once, so I lost time by doing two and causing the miniturbo to take longer to charge. Laps 2 and 3 were both amazing besides the u-turns and the Kezer drop lap 3 (at least I got air on the bridge). Seems like it would be easier to just skip that turn right??

a 44.9xx lap is completely feasible, this lap is weak because of the SC, the turn entering wigglers, and of course the net. If all 3 of those aspects were optimal, Id see this being a 44.8")
