Run Analysis:
Lap 1: This lap was decent, I got a pretty good Takemi entry but didn't hop immediately after landing which probably cost some time, I also had a re-hop which might have been unnecessary. I took the last turn a bit wide
Lap 2: This lap was average, the spindrift going into this lap wasn't timed efficient, causing a small time loss.
Lap 3: This lap was also average, the spindrift going into this lap was more efficient, I took the last turn safe to make sure the lap counted.

FINALLY. After a countless amount of fails and close calls, I pulled through with this run.
Run Analysis:
Lap 1: Personal Best Split for me. The first glitch alignment was average and I got a low glitch. I decided to do the second glitch faster than usual as I got a low glitch and could hit a nice lap with it.
Lap 2: Also a Personal Best Split, although this was expected as you have to get all 3 glitches to complete this lap. This lap is also very good, the height I got from the banner lost about .3-.5 from a low glitch. I started my drift after the glitch pretty early so I was able to get the MT out. The third glitch was done pretty fast as well.
Lap 3: Could be a lot better as I got a high glitch, I had an okay recovery from the glitch but it could have still been done faster. The last turn was pretty good.
Thoughts During The Run:
When I saw that I got a low glitch, I decided to go for the second glitch faster than usual as I wanted to get a PBS, I didnt expect too much out of it but somehow I made it. This was actually my first 2/3 of the day and done like 20-30 minutes into my session. I was a bit nervous, then once I got past the turn, the nerves started to kick in. When I saw the third high clip, I wasnt sure if I was going to fly over the banner or clip it. When I saw that I made the third glitch, it felt a bit unreal, but I knew that I had done it and that Id set an amazing time here. I dont know if I payed attention to the lap 2 time. I was definitely more focused on finishing the run and the fact that I got a 3/3.
Potential Improvements: All 3 lower glitches or TAS glitches. Holding up on the analog stick gives you lower air and a higher chance for a tas glitch, but also more risky. This run could have potentially been a second faster if I did that. TAS glitch is very risky but very worth it if you get it 3/3 with good landings. It can save ~2 second over a 3/3 regular low glitch run. Oh and doing the glitch faster is of course a time save.
Miscellaneous Thoughts: This run was a super lucky run, Not only did I get a 2/3 in the first 20-30 minutes of my session (they usually happen an hour or later into it) but it was a personal best split for me, Then I just so happen to make the third glitch after it. This is probably the luckiest session of any track Ive had. (besides on WGM glitch where I just seem to always get lucky on) I will do some TAS glitch attempts, and then Ill be taking a break from this course for a long time if not for good.

Set on November 3rd, 2019. I decided to reupload this run in high quality, my old video was just a bad camera recording.
This was 9th worldwide when it was set, but now its over 0.350 seconds slower than tops. This run is one of my only PBs from 2019 that is still standing, and I dont think Ill ever improve this. Id have to relearn how to use the Wii wheel as well as relearning the Sam strat/triple glitch. And yes, Wii wheel is required if you want to play this track at a high level (if it wasnt, then this would probably be in my top 3 favourite categories in the game.)

Set on August 19th.
Hey guys, I set a PB for the first time since March of this year, and its a pretty solid one. Its also a very special PB because I set this at a Mario kart Wii LAN event in Germany, with Enzo and Luckerbtw sitting to the right of me, as well as several other great players who were in the same room.
This was the first day that I had properly played the game in months, and the monitor I was playing on had noticeably more delay than I was used to.
Despite those factors, I got several 2/3 glitch runs, a low 2:00 pace, as well as two other 3/3 glitch runs before I clutched this run out. This is the run Ive always wanted and Im glad I finally managed to do it, especially since the circumstances made this super unexpected.
Of course, since its DK Mountain, the laps of this PB are inconsistent.
Lap 1 wasnt anything special, but its a fine lap. Lap 2 was bad and the slowest lap of the run, probably because I somewhat messed up the recovery. Lap 3 on the other hand was super clutch and carried the run, 40.0 laps arent common for me, so its crazy how I pulled it off on lap 3 while already being far ahead of my PB.

this took me way too long to make but I finally did it, this was actually my second time making it (my first was a 1:20.026 which wasnt on worldwide tops.)
Pretty happy with this run, but lap 2 was bad. Im gonna try to get a lap 2 or 3 glitch run.
