Remember the various shadows that fly past the moon in the original Pit stage in MK1, and how one of them was a UFO flying saucer? Sure you do. Well, at some point in the course of MK3, that UFO crash landed in the middle of a midwestern desert in North America (Roswell perhaps?) and its team of alien pilots are left stranded.
But hey, glass half full: while they're stuck here, they at least get a ringside view of a good old fashioned Mortal Kombat fight for their viewing pleasure! And they definitely seem to be really into it. Of course they might also want to not let the entertainment of the fight distract that too much from the G Men who have also arrived at the crash site to keep the fact that we're not alone all hush-hush.
A big, massive thanks go out to borg117 for supplying me with the alien sprites specifically for this stage, as well as a9strack3d for the UFO sprites, and of course my ever reliable partner in crime Dexon for the animal bone sprites.
