First of all, congrats to Max for finally beating my old Shroom Ridge WR that stood for more than 11 years, and motivated me to go back and play this track again.

Some new strats made it easier for me to take the record back. Decent run but still improvable, lap 2 wasn't too good and lap 3 ending is hard, yellow car on last turn lap 3 is becoming a problem on this pace.
Also, I think it's possible to keep PRB for lap 2, that'd make 1:36 possible, but it's hard.

Really good lap 2, I thought I would miss that pipe shortcut but it seems like I barely touched the checkpoint. Average lap 1 and 3.
Increasing my consistency on new shroomless strat, should start trying to do new strat lap 3 now.

This record was set on 2009-08-13, just a bit over amonth after I set my first WR on this game. Now, this is the first WR to last for over 10 years in Mario Kart DS.
Its also the longest lasting active WR in any Mario Kart game, and the second longest lasting WR in any Mario Kart game (the longest was SMK Ghost Valley 1 Flap, set by KVD in 2006-12-29, which stood for 4426 days).
This run was pretty good for the time it was set, although its easy to spot some wide lines (specially at the beginning of the run), and my miniturbo lines werent as good as they are now. After this time was set, 2 more people have got 1:37, but as of today, this is still the WR.
I dont plan to try to beat this record for the moment as I dont really have motivation to do it, but lets see what happens on the future.

Shroomless SC! @ZumoDePapaya demonstrated that its possible to execute the new shortcut without mushrooms. After some practice, I realized it was easier than the previous set up. Initially, I achieved it with the Standard RB but I didnt get any clean lap with it, and then switched to egg1 for further attempts, as the setup felt more comfortable.
Still not sure which kart is faster. ST RB is probably faster, ROB-BLS is probably faster as well. However, this discovery also makes it feasible to do 3lap attempts, and I believe that egg1 will be the kart choice there.

Great lap, specially the shroom, didnt get any airtime so I didnt lose any speed. 26.5 possible but its gonna be hard.
