Super hard to beat previous time. Lap 2 was super good. I think it will be the last time fighting for this record for a while if I lose it again.

Important Disclaimer: This run uses pause buffering. Pause buffering helps getting the shortcut a bit more consistently, since this set up requires 2 frame perfect inputs in a row.

While pause buffering is usually very controversial and has been banned in other games (including Mario Kart games such as Wii and 64), the community has decided to allow the use of pause buffering for the following reasons:
- It doesnt really help in any other aspect of the game. It really only helps this shortcuts that require precise inputs at very specific spots. Additionally, you also need to perfectly time a frame-perfect pause buffer, so you cant abuse it indefinitely in a run.
- It doesnt allow anything that would be impossible without pause buffering.
- Having a slightly easier strategy to perform this shortcut can make it more acessible to more people to attempt it.
- We do not really have a method to verify if a run uses pause buffering or not, so its simpler to allow its use.

First ever successful WR here! This was so annoying to do, the set up is way harder than the new SC found on Waluigi Pinball.
Happy that I was able to finish the run without major mistakes, this only saved 0.4 secs over the Non-SC record. This can go easily sub 29, I went quite wide on the last part of the track to be safe.

Non-PRB rule for Desert Hills: Prb-racing may not be used to cut through the sand to the right of the trees or to the left of the pyramid and must be lost after going over the little ridge.
First WR of the year! New strat before the ridge saving some nice time. Ending was improvable, I can see a 21.5 at least with this strat.

Great run for me, was going for sub 42.5 but that lap 5 let me get WR. Really decent laps as well appart from lap 4 which was ok.
I hope Matt get this WR back, he is clearly better at this track than me.

Really good run with the new strats up to lap 3. Had a bad line at the beginning of lap 3 so had to do the old strat there, then my last corner went super wide, losing like 0.3-4 in total last lap, which shows the potential of how low this run can go.
Will try to improve this run with a cleaner lap 3.

Best known split lap 1. Lap 2 and 3 are really good for the strat Im using, but improvable with lap 1 strat. I dont have the consistency to do it all 3 laps, though.

Lap can go below 12.2, but this is a good time anyway.
Still trying to get sub 44.5 on Choco Island 2, and maybe trying to get 23.8 sub on Figure 8 Circuit flap as well, lets see if I can get any of those soon :D

Super good lap. Managed to go to the right of the pokey and get an almost perfect shroom on the same run. PRB part is probably improvable but not by much.
I dont think Ill go back to this, good luck to Taiga!
Updated speedometer visual to the right as well. Now its based on karts movement so its more accurate than the one I was using before.
